An Upside To The Recession
If you’re looking for an upside to the recession, other than replaying Jon Stewart skewering Jim Cramer, traffic safety experts report that just 37,313 people died in traffic accidents last year, the fewest since 1961. It’s amazing how safe we drive when we’re not talking to our stock brokers on the cell phone.
Advertisers are also happy because TV viewership is up during the recession. We’re all watching “24″ to get tips from Jack Bauer on how to deal with the next banker who tries to screw with us again.
The price of women’s clothing is down, even at the low-cost chains. Ironically, the only women who are earning enough money to buy new clothes are strippers.
